Marbella, the town hall with the largest number of property sales in Spain in 2013 after featuring the biggest increase

Marbella, the bulwark of the Costa del Sol, has become the best bet in terms of investment, after becoming the Spanish town with largest number of property sales in Spain last year, confirming the economic growth of the city. According to official data 3,115 real estate transactions took placein the city during 2013 and representing an increase of 23.6 percent.

This data not only result in the largest increase in property sales in Spain last year, but also shows the economic recovery of the city and trust in Marbella by investors who consider this destination to be a safe value.

Other general data highlights the increase in the sale of plots for the constructionof new developments experienced in the Costa del Sol during the first quarter of last year and, according to the data referred to above, there has been a growth of 11.4% compared to the same period of 2012.

A dance of figures which show that the Costa del Sol in general and Marbella in particular, are still the preferred area for investmentsfor both domestic and international buyers, according to official data from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Government of Spain.Both local and international buyers are taking advantage of this moment to become home owners at great prices compared to just six years ago.

This is also confirmed by the industry report that also highlights that the province of Málaga is at the forefront in terms of property sales to foreigners, who acquired a total of 1,922 last year.
