Those interested in Japanese culture will have the opportunity starting tomorrow to get into the "1st Japanese Cultural Week", to be held from 10th to 18th of November in Málaga.
During this week, there will be workshops and exhibitions to expose the ancient Japanese culture in all areas, including film, food, music and more.
This initiative is undertaken by the Cultural Department of the City of Málaga in cooperation with the Asian Cultural Center and the Japan Foundation.
The Japanese cuisine occupies an important role in this initiative, as from this Friday until the 18th of November, the first route of the Japanese Tapas will be held. Visitors will be able to taste some Japanese dishes presented as tapas (mini format) in different Japanese restaurants located around Malaga city.
The participating restaurants and their tapas are:

Okami: Nikujaga (stewed meat) or Spicy Tuna Gunkan with Japanese beer 4 euros.
• Restaurant
Tapadaki: Quail lollipop tempura with ku-bak sushi rice and plum sauce with small beer for 3.70 euros.
• Restaurant Sushimore Larios: Salmon Nigiri and tomato vegetable plate with Japanese omelette and Japanese beer, 2.50 euros.
• Restaurant Sushimore El Corte Inglés (near the gourmet corner): Tuna Nigiri + vegetable plate with red peppers, surimi and Japanese mayonnaise and Japanese beer, 2.50 euros.

Kyoto: varied Uramaki Kyoto with drink, 3.80 euros.
• Restaurant
Asakusa: Edamame with Japanese beer 3 euros.
All covers include drinks (most of the restaurants include Japanese beer) and the tapas range from 2.50 to 4 euros.
In addition to this tapa´s route, the restaurant Asako will offer a special dish, the Hosomaki. This dish consists of an asparagus tempura with wakame seaweed salad and sesame vinaigrette and chili with Japanese beer for 17.50 euros.
This restaurant will also participate very actively embracing the next Japanese gastronomic meeting on the 14th, and so if you are interested in attending be quick as the free spaces are quickly covered.
