The Costa del Sol is the Spanish brand of beach destination most valued by the international press, according to a study on the positioning in the media of Spanish tourist brands made by Oak Power Communication among 600 professionals worldwide.
This report shows that Marbella is the destination with the highest quality score and has one of the highest positions in the category of vanguard and design. In addition, journalists have praised the Costa del Sol as a global destination, which is evolving and improving, and its proximity to cities such as Seville and Granada, make it the ideal location to stay and to visit the rest of Andalucía.
The study of Oak Power Communication has been conducted among a total of 600 journalists from around the world specializing in tourism or who write regularly regarding this activity, the majority of them come from England, Germany, France, Latin America and the United States.
Oak Power Communication with fourteen years in the market was the author of the report on the assessment of media coverage of Michelle Obama vacation in Spain last summer that had international repercussions.
The findings reveal that the Costa del Sol brand is preferred by foreign journalists, with 8.7 averaged over 10 points, followed by Canary Islands with 8.5 and Balearic, with 7.9. It was followed Benidorm, 7.5 points, Costa Brava, with a 7, and Alicante, 6.9.

They also stressed the promotion of complementary cultural products, such as the Picasso Museum and, of course, proximity to major art destinations such as Granada, Seville and Ronda.
Marbella, meanwhile, has achieved the highest score in the category of specific destinations of beach, with 9.1 points, followed a short distance from Ibiza, with 8.9 points and Lanzarote.
